The loot right now is kind of fucked because they got rid of ALL progression pretty much. No upgrading benches means you can't use blue prints means almost everything you loot is useless. In the Tech Test when progression was fully unlocked you would be constantly crafting and upgrading and saving stuff so loot was actually meaningful but currently with how scuffed the Server Slam is you barely get even a hint of that. Case in point you can't Craft Raider keys which give you the alternate extracts that are much safer.
