sadly this is probably still better than the state of affairs before as alchemy was basically never viable aside from utility (but boy does it have a fair bit).
magic was also not good for the longest time.
so while it sucks, not like it was really better before. remember when fighter was the meta singletarget talent because of erg50 perseus knuckles?
