The charge on her gamma is cumulative, meaning that if you hold it until it's ALMOST fully charged and let it go (somewhere safe, when you're not fighting and can afford to waste the ammo) then the next time you hold down her gamma it will reach full charge in a fraction of a second.
Bear in mind however that charging her gamma doesn't make it do more damage, it just makes the AoE larger and makes you go higher.

Nejire is one of the few characters who actually benefits from the melee cancel tech that, technically, all characters have.
To perform it, do a neutral melee (no movement input) and wait until almost the very end of the first hit before doing the second hit. If you execute this successfully, then for the rest of that melee chain (any time during the second or third hit) you can interrupt your melee animation instantly with a movement input.
This allows you to do a full melee combo and then, after the third hit knocks the enemy back, you can interrupt the third hit's endlag and immediately combo in an alpha or gamma.

If you can help it, strive to NEVER let Nejire's special action run out entirely. Partial recharge only takes 8 seconds, while a full recharge takes longer (like 12, I think? I can't remember) but more importantly, partial recharge is cumulative. If, during a fight, you end up at 1% SA left but with half the recharge bar filled, you'll have it back in 4 seconds. If you use that last 1%, not only will you now incur the full penalty recharge, but you'll lose the partial charge as well. It'll take like 3 times as long to recharge as it would if you had just saved that last 1%.
