One thing that really irks me about D4 is the gore, I remember in D3 you'd be chopping people's heads off, hitting them so hard their flesh blows off and leaves just a skeleton, blood would be on the ground after. But in D4 I slice through a entire group and not a single drop of blood is on the ground, it's like way too clean. Which is weird because there is some nice gore, like chopping someone in half and intestines fly out, but it also feels safe and bland at the same time
Also the ragdoll physics are downgraded too, in D3 you felt strong, enemies would go flying sometimes. But in d4 a lot of the time you kill an enemy and they just kind of flop over.
It's probably just my autistic ass that even cares about that stuff but it still bothers me
