I can only agree with you. I feel the same way. The game definitely feels to sterile where it should shine the most. As for the ambiance of D4, the characters especially feel bland, and not just our classes, but the NPCs around us come across as most dull and uninspiring as it gets. I don't need grand and pompous speeches but a bit of human element and mentioned before levity would really help to sell the world.
Also, lack of cinematics between sections of the campaign still doesn't sit right with me. Sure it's cool to see our character have some interaction but would it hurt to add the staple of Blizz that were cionematics as well?
