My guess is they work and live in their own bubble and on those rare occassions when they're exposed to the community like in these talks with Raxx or Rob (more so with the latter) they get a reality checked. And even then they still choose to work at a snail's pace. I mean any other developer would've sat down long ago and worked their ass off to redo the shit they've been shoving up until that point. But because they work for blizzard somehow that validates their current mindset of "taking their time". It's baffling to me too and I'm not even trying to wrap my head around it.
IMO in ideal world what we should get would be:
>TGA - expansion announcement & release date for spring/early summer,
>Blizzcon - further overhaul to the game and hint at another class/expansion.
