It felt like Sarutahiko was tacked on just to further add to the connection of Daikoku. He seems nice and his actions after Okuni was defeated was interesting even if he had backlash for it. But I don't care for how part of his insecurity was sparked by not hearing the entirety of what his bathhouse boss was saying.
It was odd to see Kamui again since he's been gone for a bit especially in the Main Story at this point in time but he also felt slightly tacked on. We go over his past sending many children to their deaths in Kamui Kotan it felt like we were retreading old ground that he already had some peace/closure with. IIRC from ch.7 but the scene between him and Xolotl was nice even if it felt out of place as it happens cuts to that right when Zhurong goes berserk. Seriously it goes from that to suddenly Kamui and Xolotl washing each others backs.
Mineaki just makes it more concrete he truly cares for his students possibly throughout every Loop or at least most of them. Him getting angry at Onamuchi was very surprising I guess you could say he felt lost not being about to use his Eye SA in Hell which gave him such certainty in Tokyo. He even goes into about how many App users were given their SA and act like its their birthright when it was never theirs to being with. It's been something that's been touched on before. Mineaki still creeps me out at times but he's a good guy despite what you think and him literally seeing through Daikoku's facade at the start of the Event was very satisfying
Xolotl has more about his days in El Dorado and how he feels responsible for Quetzals death/sacrifice and wonders how he even got Quetzals SA. Him and Quetzal getting the flame from Mictlan which is El Dorado's Hell seems like it goes against it's System of self sacrifice. Like bringing back those who passed most likely from being sacrifices seemingly takes away from the sacrifices in the first place that keep the World going-
