The day/night gets old fast when you're not focused on battling, if the times were longer and the scene shorter than you said then it'd be fine.
The combat jank is annoying in a sense that there are times you get punished for sneak attacks and attacking pokemon through rubble can make you target the rubble by accident since you have to hold/manually press the lock on button.
I would've liked the precision of the platforming more if I didn't have to ladder after ladder and edge off a corner just to get a damn screw. It doesn't feel rewarding half the time.
