For what it's worth, I've attended a couple dozen regionals across the last 15 years and other than opponent hygiene issues, I've never had a problem. My kids even participated in the juniors division the last two I went to; they had a fun time and everything went great. I wouldn't have brought them if I thought there was even a chance of a chance of them being accosted. If you're just a normal guy who's there to play and enjoy a good competition, you'll be fine. The harassment and drama issues are all centered around women and content creators and fan interactions.
