Well gee, who could've seen that coming, apart from everyone? I think Kartanon might be a chucklefuck. Eh, we'll blame Pokeinstincts, I guess - chronic hero syndrome like Lucarioanon has.

>I had been so rational about this up until now.
Darwin Awards can strike any time..

Some proof-reading snarls here. This whole situation becomes a helluva lot funnier if you imagine that both Kartanon and the transformed dog are level 5 and this is actually nothing more than a Little Cup slapfight. Fun fact, Snorlax Hyper Beam doesn't even one shot an equivalent level Kartana.

The well-deserved couch of victory. Still, I hope you learned a valuable lesson today, Kartanon. No, that lesson is NOT to go hide in your room and never do anything again other than ruminate. Of course after a taste of battle like that your instincts probably won't let you vegetate anyway.

Hmm. Reads well, not really seeing much in the way of typos or tense snarls, but isn't this an awful lot of Pokemon to be wandering around this one college campus, especially as this is, IIRC, still relatively early into the phenomenon? Also, wouldn't this massive proliferation of 'mons immediately put pay to Val's earlier weird notions about the status of Pokemon in California and all that kinda stuff? Certainly proves that there isn't a soul who's listening to the government's advice to give Pokemon a wide berth, at any rate.

For a second there I thought the guys with the Growlithe merced a Cherubi. THAT certainly would've validated Val's feelings toward the place...

The dialogue is maybe a LITTLE stilted, but not too bad. What I'm wondering is why Val cares so much. Like he sees a cherry explode and suddenly he goes from depression session to Gord Brody, "What are you doing to that horse!?"

College? Huh, from the way you talk that I had you pegged for being MUCH older than that. I'm sure whatever you do with the website'll be fine.
