Yes, that's pretty much its use case. Non-stick games (so basically 16-bit era) on the go.
Though you might find the screen a bit on the small side, depending on what you want to play. It's surprisingly good quality, however, for its price tier.
Also, if you have large hands, it's somewhat cramped.
