I might not phrase it like that, but it's a seriously questionable design. There's almost no opportunity to explore and accomplish anything before the game is already fucking with you.

Sometimes "Black Sheep" just means different, the one that doesn't fit in with the rest. By that definition, AoL definitely qualifies.
