Fair. I suppose saying "die" is an overstatement on my behalf. I meant it more in the sense of SI and FM as you currently know it, would die. The scaling back that would happen without Sega's backing would be extreme, especially after failing to release FM25 on time and admitting that they effectively wasted 5 years trying to make this game and admitting their project lead thinks a codebase conversion would take two weeks. It all adds up to a bad time.

Money. If you keep making the same game every single year with minimal changes, causing the playerbase to stagnate, then you lose money. Because licensing prices will increase, rent prices will increase, any business expenses you make will not be covered by increased sales etc etc.
