a lot of the naval civs are also really strong on land and team bonuses pretty much don't matter except for maybe spanish trade or if you are going for a specific strat that benifits from a team bonus. Malay and vikings are like top 5 on every map and they are a naval civ. Italians used to be kinda dogwater on land maps until they got buffed, the armor on their archers and genoese is huge. I'd say they are top 10 on closed maps and like top top 20 on open maps. And condo in castle age makes no sense, its anti-gunpowder and rarely gunpowder in castle age.
