the main issue is that most vtubers in the EN sphere are perceived more as "local guy streams as a hobby" rather than "professional entertainer puts on a show for the audience" and that has an effect on the audience, on the livers themselves, on their relationships with others and the company, &c.
unfortunately some livers really do see themselves as that so there may be no cure
