I haven't really played MTG more than twice (played with free trial decks) but I like how I don't need to draw my lands to summon stuff or attack.
HoloOCG is not that complex or deep in my opinion, current meta revolves around getting to 2nd bloom (think pokemon evolutions/stages) or some other win condition like buzz cards and then killing your opponent members every turn after. Most matches end by turn 6 or 7 and a match takes like 20-30 minutes on average.
Deckbuilding wise, it's probably the most fun part of the game. You build decks based on your Oshi card and think if the members you're planning to include will work well with your oshi card or not. You can get quite a few unique combinations like Kiara oshi with PolkaMikoFlare cards, or Suisei oshi with LamyNene cards and the current cancer meta deck: Korone oshi with SubaMarine cards.
