Depends what kind of engineering. But generally your level of cooked depends on whatever's on your resume that isn't your classes. The more clubs, internships, etc, you have, the less cooked you are. When you professors begged you to do that stuff, they were not lying, that is for real the difference maker. The more willing you are to accept jobs in more "modest" fields like industry/production of just stuff instead of high flying techbro corpos, the less cooked you are. The less adjacent you are to anything that's currently being devoured by AI, the less cooked you are.
