I never said I primarily cared about numbers. I actually got into her for her asmr and then discovered her LL asmr via YouTube recommendations then she became my oshi. I pretty much watch her exclusively and have done so for years. She was my oshi for a couple reasons: the asmr RP vids were top tier, she’s actually really funny and has great banter with chat, she makes streams feel like a really inviting comforting safe place, her voice is angelic it just melts all my stress away, Fauna’s model was a work of art, I got to watch her grow as a streamer and a person and see her community grow because of it , /uuu/ was actually really chill and a fun place to chat during and after streams and I felt like I had a community form. Eventually one thing turned to another and I stopped looking for relationships irl and treated her as my surrogate GF while I worked on myself from 2022-2024
Now asmr is more or less gone, Nimi’s model is still really pretty but I’d argue it’s not the same not a deal breaker though, voice is still smooth like butter, the parasocial angle is gone (feelings are still there), tower /uuu/ is nice but /vt/ is unusable for us now, she still melts all the stress away, it feels half the naplings I knew quit after the LLD (we didn’t even lose many after fauna graduated)…
I’m rambiling but if numbers go down it’s just another part of what made her great slowly fading.
Fauna wasn’t just my favorite holomem, she wasn’t just my oshi, she was my favorite content creator across all mediums! I made FST part of my daily schedule and I could know I could grab a cold drink after work and just had a caring voice and a nice community I knew would grow there for me after a long day. It’s been tough to see that go away
