I don't think that's the exact reason. I believe it's a matter of her not being confident in her troubleshooting abilities. Everyone should know by now how frustrated she can get when something isn't working right for her. So, when her setup is working, albeit not perfectly, she settles for that solution, which is what a lot of non-tech savvy people do.

My guess is she hasn't realized that then, or she has a legitimate reason for not doing it. If people want 60fps then they should ask her about it. She'll get annoyed if asked repeatedly, but she generally responds to questions like that eventually.
