It wasn't shut down by the jannies, which many still believe, only one post ever got deleted.
/vai/ died because the free online tools people were using locked down or started charging money because of the sudden influx of users.
If you tried to make some stuff to trick people in other threads into thinking they said things that they didn't, I imagine the jannies *might* not appreciate it, but I think really anything would be okay as long as it stayed in the AI thread.
