They are both artists who did contract work for major companies it's not like they haven't done major alterations of a character design to better match what a client wanted. Kuroboshi does a wide variety of characters so it's not like he does only a single character type.

There have been a few model redesigns in Holostars, including the stealth redesign with Astel, so it was never an issue of cost but only an issue of getting management to agree to it.
