NTA but yes, I do. I enjoy it for what it's intended to be everywhere outside of VAllure, which is a variety show that mixes:
- idol concerts
- burlesque shows
- morning zoo radio (only with women in the driver's seat instead of conservative boomer men complaining that the minimum wage is too high/exists)
- soft talking stuff like Bob Ross and Martha Stewart
- Mystery Science Theater 3000 (albeit usually improvised instead of scripted)
The increased amount of audience input does increase the risk of parasocially-aggravated mental illness, but most of us can handle it. Unicorns clearly cannot. It's not fair to vtubers, or good for their content, to expect them to be dedicated 24/7 to their streaming persona, or to abstain from marriage/having kids, or to live in fear of being discovered if they do.
Unicorns fans will never care, because they're selfish. I get that. That's why they need to go to VAllure or do something with a weaker parasocial component. They should not be here. It doesn't matter if they were here first - so were all manner of plagues and locusts, and we don't let those into our homes, either.
