It's not that there's a benefit to be gained but rather it's more likely what her parents want. You talk about passive income being in Niji but it's kinda hard to think that she gets more than a few hundred dollars at best since Niji takes half the money from membership after YouTube's cut and it's not like she was ever stupidly popular.
