as to why koyo doesn't have migo's viewership, I dunno. they're different people/vibes. koyo is sometimes a kind of retro chuuba which can be a niche, it worked out great for korone but luna also leans into it sometimes and doesn't get the same kind of reception either. I can be snide and say "koyo voice not cute enough" but I mean peko got huge with her funny-sounding coarse voice, and there are long-time holos with very very cute voices who don't do as good as koyo (rbc-san..). the dynamics of how this stuff works and how girls get their crowds (or not) could probably be someone's PhD thesis if we could see all the data of how discussions and influence flew around to make them happen, but nobody truly knows besides trying to divine out public opinion from shitposts on JP chans (not dissimilar to how vibe checks go here).
