On what planet is being an indie not profitable? Sure there are minimum viewership/subscriber milestones you have to reliably be hitting to be profitable like any other streamer, but if you've got a few thousand CCV for every stream as a vtuber you're more than likely doing just fine for yourself.
People like Nimi and Mint are making enough money to live VERY comfortably right now, which is a very basic reality that gets lost in the weeds of anti dickholes on this website obsessively tracking their viewership trends because they desperately want them to fail for the crime of leaving their gilded corpo idol cage, and so all they can do is post pictures of stream numbers saying "wha happun?" while stuttering out the words "whore" and "
