I don't know, but I would guess that anything open ear would depend on the ambient noise. If you're in a place that has a lot of noise you might not hear some of the same details you would hear in a quiet room. But then, you probably wouldn't want headphones that block out ambient noise when you're in most noisy situations, so that you can hear what's going on around you. And yeah they do look comfortable too, so for sleeping in a quiet place they might be pretty good and they are versatile. The only other issue would be that you have less of a full-spectrum frequency response with earbuds because they are tiny, but that's true for all earbuds, and with the open ear versatility they are probably a good option. I don't know how they would actually feel though and I'm also curious.
