Expecting the game to work out of the box and then struggling to fix it when it doesn't tells me she's not very tech-savvy and doesn't usually play retro games, at least on PC. Easily frustrated when things don't work out.
Deus Ex also seems like a bad match for her. Not even bothering to allocate points at character creation, skipping the readables and ignoring dialogue to read chat makes me think she wasn't very interested in the game or has an attention span too short for something like this. But she beat the first mission pretty fast so she's probably decent at games, just someone who'd rather play something you can jump into, no thinking, brain empty.
