Only newfags would cry about japanese streams.
We only had JP vtubers at the start and most people were happy to watch them even if they didn't understand very much.
Personally, I learned more japanese in these 6 years of watching vtubers than in the 20 of watching anime. I'm not fluent by any means, but I can get by with context hints.
