That’s not the problem for Haachama, she self admittedly does NOT like to do what’s popular for the sake of popularity. She said that as much, after her return from her medical hiatus, on why she doesn’t play FOTM disclosing that she doesn’t like to follow trends.
I’m a Haaton since an era I didn’t even know Hololive and I’m 100% aware that the Haachama I fell for ceased to exist more or less in mid 2020 in her “screaming gamer” arc.
People like to mention the audience she attracted with the schizo arc and then lost when she dropped it but that arc was the EXACT SAME mental breakdown she is suffering now except back then she tried to channel it through a “masquerade”, a theater play of sorts instead of head on like she did this time.
Back then she was desperately trying to get rid of “Haachama”, the loud screaming bold moving bad cooking spider eating and go a couple steps back in her career and return to her more calm late 2019 self.
The whole story she constructed and rhe way she continuously asked the audience
>are you sure you want Haato to return?
>that means Haachama has to disappear, you know?
had that in mind but she balked because the audience was torn between “both” and didn’t want a bad ending, they wanted them to #coexist
And if Haachama had the mental fortitude to pull that off it would be the best case but, as time proved, she doesn’t.
And she has doesn’t have the drive to take on a project and stick with it either. She had Haachama Sunday then stopped doing it on sundays, then stopped doing it at all.
She inherited the “meme review” and could have done something amazing with it
>a weekly program where EN girls do host and show HER memes and explain
but didn’t carry it further.
She pretty much took and dropped God knows how many nice projects because, sadly, what makes her this lovable goofball is the same thing that prevents her from succeeding

I’m waiting for sweet release since mid 2021 when I genuinely thought she would graduate after her return to Japan. I’m along for the journey and will die as the “last Haaton” because she doesn’t have it in her anymore for a long time.
