also i find the idea of going back to "happier" times or whatever actually quite depressing.
what, i want to be some dumb kid in the 80's again playing outside and watching heman/thundercats? fuck that, i wouldn't be able to buy beer or fags (cigarettes) or ganja.
still got fond personal memories of the last 4+ decades and i can remember them any time i want but i don't want to go back.
going forwards is fun, this point in time is retarded, shitty, hilarious, worrying etc etc. i like seeing what happens next.
e.g. can't stand the soft invasion of the UK over the last few (or more, technically) decades but if it ends in an insane civil war i'd like to stick around to check that out
