Well Biblically it's used three times:
1) Abraham is told to walk in front of God and be perfect.
2) Jesus says love your enemies and bless them that curse you and to be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect.
3) 2 Timothy 3:17 which says the purpose of scripture is that the man of God be perfect
>thoroughly furnished unto all good works
