tldr the podcast format is inherently flawed as it follows guidelines. Keep conversation going via constant prodding of questions and extrapolation on points previously discussed. This is how most social interaction goes admittedly, but not among friends.

Idk maybe virtue signaling is how they keep their sponsors. Podcast sponsors are really fickle and most of them are scams. I like the "this is important" podcast which is just the workaholics cast being retards but it's really because I can't find anything else that's not so offensively soi I'd feel less embarrassed watching the hallmark channel.
