I went to a protestant church when I was really young but have never felt too religious. Those formative church youth group sessions definitely planted the seeds of their being something but who really knows! Wouldn't say I'm Christian but wouldn't call myself an Atheist either

Techniclly agnostic, but I am indifferent to and do not know whether our existence is a random event or we are in the hands of a sadistic god. Either is just as likely, everything we know is from our own life experience and the creation of our leliverse is much more ancient and undescernable than we would be able to have true knowledge or comprehension of

I believe in a Higher Power of my own understanding. Doing so has allowed me to stay sober for 6 months. I don't really know how other than simply doing the next right indicated thing. Practicing spiritual principles. Growing along spiritual lines. Being grateful. Being of service. Being as wise-minded as possible.

I was talking with this very nice barista at a Cafe' earlier and she mentioned a very situationally profound word, a word that I've actually been attempting to be subconsciously mindful of lately, yet, in that exact moment, when I couldn't think of the word myself (possibly due to being slightly distracted by how nice she was) she said "moderation", and it was almost as if I had heard the word for the very first time. I don't think I made it (me being caught so off guard by a word I've been subconsciously mindful of for weeks) so very obvious, though I did hear her say "enjoy, anon!" as I walked away...
...anyway, the point I'm making is that I have to be mindful of (and be willing to practice) the next "indicated step", whatever that may be - whether it's physical, mental, or spiritual. The only way I can do that is if I continue to make conscious decisions through the will of my Higher Power.
