This is a whole other matter. He did sign a letter to reform the law regarding consent and sex between minors, but the letter doesn't pretend there should be no age of consent at all like some often frame it, it was made because in the 70s in France the laws regarding this matter was largely incoherent with the rest of the penal code and used near-religious concepts. It also made any consenting homosexual sex between two people under 18 a crime, which resulted in a case in which some teenagers were both convicted for this reason which I believe started a public debate, which in turn led to the redaction of the letter. You may have whatever opinion on the matter or gays but to me it seem pretty coherent that a fig would want laws like that reformed.
Anyhow this doesn't change the fact that Guy Sorman retracted his accusation by later upping the age of his supposed rapees by 10.
