Lasso tool would be like, if you notice the head is too small, you highlight it with the tool and u can resize it to your liking

Well, many artists use real poses because it is the correct way of how Anatomy would be and a good way to make a drawing

On the other hand, many young artists use other artists' images because they want to stick to them. And then there's the fact of drawing styles, blah blah blah, I don't know much about it.

The reference images that I usually use are of anything, although most of them are poses of anime figures.

Perhaps it's just me, but with regards to 2d drawn pictures, I usually try to find already drawn refs of the things I want to see, or I draw a shitty stickfigure doodle for it. When I have to use IRL refs I sometimes assume the artist might think its weird, like its crossing over into some bizarre territory, moreover if its porn or a weird interest.
