So I managed to set up truenas on an old computer I got from a friend
I threw in an ssd for a boot drive and two 1 tb hdd disks I had lying around and I also upgraded ram to 20 gb
unfortunately I couldn't mount those drives so I put them loose inside
NAS turned out really great
I get 1gbps transfers via SMB without any issues
I've yet to check out how does installing web services like nextcloud work
