I would say that the reason YTPs and boundary dissolution (like with salvia) is similar because actually it’s reverse, YouTube and the internet is a physical representation of our inner states. So basically these types of videos are artifacts of the flow of our internal subjective states. Taking it a bit further I’ve always felt that the reason humans just started naturally building the internet was man’s inherent desire to get back to some sort of suppressed collective consciousness which we inherently feel exists and the internet is a representation of that idea into the physical world.
