Nothing happened to the old Amy. You can still dig into her. You also can create any fan stuff with her, copyright owner is pretty lenient about it. Esp. if you are in some 3rd world shitlole. The same can be said about anything: for example, if you only like the old Mega Drive games, you can ignore all other stuff.

Recently I decided to emulate Wii using an actual wiimote controller so I could play Sonic and the Black Knight properly (never had played it before, because without the proper controls it would be not the right experience). I wanted to play it because this game is my beloved style of Sonic (even if not in its heyday). But instead, I only play Just Dance games and sometimes Samba de Amigo. I think Just Dance is good for my health. And Samba de Amigo is a slightly different experience, so for a change I play it too. Controls in Amigo are not responsible enough for the game hard mode, though.

No. Only sticking to old content is admitting defeat. It is not enough to still have old Amy, she must remain true to her character in new media. They must bring Amy back and stop turning her into a character that is so altered that she is now unrecognizable from her voice to her behavior to her personality to her appearance. I do not settle for scraps (old content).
