i giant fly landed on my laptop screen and i freaked out and threw it to the ground. my laptops charging port got moved out of its socket and the laptop shell couldnt close. i opened up my laptop, pushed the charging port back in, and thank the LORD it still works. however the holders that hold the screws in at the top of the laptop broke, so the top cant be screwed but the bottom is fine. the gap only opens up if i hold my laptop midair so i might need to get some electrical tape to hold it. its times like these where i wonder if the lord has directly blessed me, without my laptop i would die

if it broke i wouldnt be able to get a new laptop until i got a job and saved up for one, but even if i wanted a job i couldnt get one as theres none in walking distance and id rather just do school without work even though i know a lot of students like to go to work after school

get any optiplex tower with a sufficiently newish i7, a standard ATX PSU, a used GPU with enough VRAM for new games (3060 12gb is good), and you'll end up spending less than on a new laptop while also not worrying about trashing it, then again maybe you're not suited for this kind of thing if you trashed your laptop swatting some bug

this is a 1600 dollar stinkpad i got it for 200 dollar its not worth 1600 dollar it was worth 200 dollar anyway its broken yoga are much better than new t series because they dont break the same way
