iam kind of autistic so I wach stuff I am currently obsessed with kind of on loop for a couple days or weeks but personally am always looking at new stuff and trying new things sooo abit of both anone

the things I like are too far and in-between so if I like something I consume it once a year max so it doesn't lose its potency
People tend to fixate on things and that draws from the well of open-mindedness. Also you tend to pidgeonhole yourself into thinking one modal of thought like it's your concrete identity

Dubs if I’m being honest I very rarely rewatch anime because I hate ruining the experience. My biggest regret with Kanon is I made it my personality and now I’ve watched it like half a dozen times with several people in the past, so now it doesn’t quite hit like it should anymore, and that fucking sucks. Here I was, an avid Ayu poster, going automatic nofap for weeks after rewatches and grieving everytime to now it’s too fucking predictable. I hate it. I wish I could still feel what I used to feel from the series, but now I feel nothing. I promised I’d kill myself if nothing changed before I got this old. Things most certainly have changed, but now I just don’t enjoy anything. I don’t see any point to just wasting space anymore but I don’t want to go to Buddhist hell either. Xiaohongshu

You can only rewatch something like once every 2-3 years. And that's also if it's nice and short. I don't understand how some people can re-watch the entire US office show and when they finish they just start back at the first season and go again. Like how do people rewatch the same 1 or 2 shows endlessly for years on end?? Nothing is that good

They might be in their 30s and 40s and the office was something they grew up watching and they just want a comfort show, something they're familiar with because they come home from work too drained to do anything but watch netflix and doomscroll on their phone, they're not willing to put in the mental energy to give anything different a try, it's a really sad way to live tbh
