I tried to but it's not too obvious. I put ancho chili powder seasoning on the meat before trying to brown it, so I guess it didn't come out as good. (the seasoning is red, so the meat became red, and the browning isn't obvious.) I tried to brown it with the lid closed but that was worse as it didn't brown at all.
