i just grueled through a lot of depressive episodes and completed my english a-levels (ap for americans) so i can go to university. i wanted to see if i could get an apprenticeship related to journalism of sorts and found out its essentially a dying trade and the only way to actually become a journalist is to post shitty blogs on shitty websites for 5 old dudes to read and nod their head to.

I don't want to work a 9-5
Is it time to face the music?

what about independent journalism? 404 Media's doing pretty well, though obviously they're an outlier and you can't very well get your start by striking out on your own like they did. I just read their piece about AI in journalism which is basically their take on the industry as a whole and I thought was pretty interesting: https://www.404media.co/the-medias-pivot-to-ai-is-not-real-and-not-going-to-work/

You could be like every other Britbong and or Yurofag and make video essays on YouTube if you want to go down the 'journalism" route. Better chance of success if you look like Pyrocynical, a chubby lesbian IRL Koume Shirasaka.
