The Sony PVM-4300 is the largest CRT monitor ever manufactured, with a 43-inch diagonal display and a weight of around 200 kilograms.
look what hey took from us
>>12424837 (OP)did they used trucks to transport it
>>12424848people were stronger back then from carrying around all the crts
>>12424846Back when a TV was more than just a colourful protrusion on a wall, when it was an OBJECT that commanded respect.
was there ever an anode ray tube
As the device on which we consume moving pictures has shrunk so has the value which we attach to moving pictures shrunk. The TV shied away, it took a step a back and made itself small, as if to say don't look at me.
>>12424853That's pretty fucking heavy, but not when compared to my massive P1300 from the 90s.
>>12424837 (OP)Fun fact: that is a Japanese woman and they tend to be smaller than normal womans, so the TV actually isn't that big
>>12425187Japanese woman tend to be around 5'
Not 3'
So unless your 6'7+, there won't be a huge difference in size
>>12425189Man i wanna be one of those dudes with the gigantic retro pims just to be like, 'yo, don't ya know, THIS IS CRT!' on every online platform
>>12424837 (OP)i had a thirty something inch widescreen one and I had to carry it myself, it was heavy as shit. Must have weighed as much as a fridge just more compact.
>>12425185I think this is one of the more fun facts, and probably the biggest under appreciated CRT fact.
