No, usually I read xianxia or wuxia because of martial arts shenanigan, such old traditional books are not fit my mental capacity. Then again there are only few I even read but most tags in common is comedy, serious set in medieval times, interesting mc with a tinge of romance.

I read a few since I'm aware there is same cliche. Nowadays the only thing holding me back from moving away is comedy. Chinese comedy is something else, simple but very effective.

Being tired of cliche one can just read irony jokes of such or something absurd version of it. Such novels gives me the best laugh.
