why does that bird so strangely look at me
from the tree
worms in beak and dead eyes locked
as I walk this dusty sea

I only hear the insect's noise
and the grass is so dry
in a fresh wind I could rejoice
but summer wind doesn't blow anymore
oh, and I don't know why
