evo was so important because there was only one tournament and it was the biggest one. meaning everyone HAD to be there because theres nothing more prestigious than having an evo win. the aspect of it that reeled in the most viewers was seeing people come from all over the world to compete. one match it could be brazil vs indonesia and the next it could be south korea vs norway, this clash of talent from all over the world is what made it interesting. now that japan france and singapore for some reason all has its own evo those people wont bother coming to america which just makes evo a smaller tournament and less of a big deal
