>>16693950 (OP)Sup guy, you ever heard of BEN?
Anyway, interdimensional travel is quantum, but not beyond your understanding.
You'll need to read some Tegmark.
Familiarize yourself with his multiverse levels paper.
Read up on the concept of a Boltzmann Brain.
Your consciousness is in an information wave state, that can only exist with supporting mediums.
Congratulations! You arrived at your first medium. This place, where we all woke up as primates on a rock floating through space.
Chances are, when you die, you wake up in a new medium.
Which one? Based on a quantum state collapse.
You're not coming back here, the odds are not in your favor.
If you do come back here, expect life to suck.
You will be brought back under only a small handful of conditions, within this specific Universe instance.
1. Simulated. (You're vastly more likely to be brought back via directed compute and simulation.)
2. Non-carbon/different matter island. (Plasma being, living in a star, etc... This is because of the high density flux for information you would need to incarnate via Boltzmann instance. Your odds of waking up in a carbon organic body, with your brain intact enough to be a legitimate Boltzmann instance is so low, I consider it straight up zero, without an infinite amount of time, plasma/matter on a star is in such an informational flux and in such a high quantity, you may get Boltzmann glimmers, as you try to incarnate under such conditions, and even if you do, you won't be going to Earth, no way you're breaking the gravity well of most things you show up on, via local Boltzmann hop.)
3. Someone advanced literally comes looking for you.
4. Man in the sky/God is real
As far as actually exiting this dimension and going to others? It's a possibility on death, bud.
But coming back here will be technologically challenging, in such an extent, it is no surprise that no one has ever done it. (Recently, if you believe any past history instances...)
