I don't think other animals even have a concept of "taboo" so the question is moot. If you've ever watched male dogs they'll try to get it on with anything they can climb on top of, not because it's a fetish but because they're wired to mount things and make more dogs. They don't consider that what they're mounting isn't a female dog and that it makes no sense, it feels good and they go for it.
