Meanwhile, in reality, he was the youngest member of the Manhatten project, a nobel laureate, critical piece of the puzzle in solving/communicating what happened with the Challenger, experimented with teaching pedagogy that, while a failure by his own admittance was wildly successful in building intuition among physicists, and created a legacy as the great explainer. This was all before that simp you mentioned. Angie, of course, fails to mention this because her agenda was to tear down the legacy of the evil womanizer Feynman. Oh, but she included a line or two in an hour+ fucking monologue saying "eh he's probably alright BUT ANYWAY HERE'S WHY HE'S EVIL". Ironically enough, you're simping her word as gospel while trying to deboonk Feynmans legacy on the grounds that a simp worshipped him.

Most generally, the propagator is a Green's function for the Schrodinger equation and - as Dirac found - it could be written as a path integral over momenta and configuration variables. You can find this in his quantum mechanics book which predates Feynman's physics career.

Note that writing down the propagator as a path integral is formally possible whether the Hamiltonian comes from a field theory with Lorentz symmetry (and you're dealing with a functional Schrodinger equation) or from a quantum mechanical system (with the Schrodinger equation you're probably familiar with).

And, of course, the phase space path integral is more fundamental than the one written in the Lagrangian formalism.

Dirac didn’t use these words and he was just using the completeness relations to write out a formal expansion in the Hamiltonian formalism. This is NOT a path integral, because path integrals are covariant and gauge-covariant. Hamiltonian mechanics are neither of these things. Path integrals treat space and time on equal grounds and respect gauge symmetry. If you’ve ever actually taken a basic graduate QFT course, you would know that none of this is possible in the canonical quantization formalism. The two are very different.
