Why don’t we make heated helium blimps to increase their lift?

Personally, I think you’re a massive bitch for being too scared of using superheated hydrogen

1) they have enough lift
2) you would need to keep adding heat to balance the heat loss

If you heat helium enough it becomes hydrogen.

We should go all the way and use a heated vakuum if you ask me

The fuel required to heat the helium loses you the lift gain of having higher lift. If heating worked they wouldn't make blimps in the first place and just made mega huge hot air balloons. Obviously trying to heat a gas bag is a really bad idea, the surface area is massive.

It can't combust, but it can forcefully pop.

A fairly light electrical heating element could work, right?

If we could only find some heat amd some hydrogen and/or helium we'd have infinite energy.

>Use black material
>Absorbs heat
>Helps with lift
Seems like a positive but being reflective probably is so there aren't issues with portions of the ship expanding away from other portions of the ship.

Helium makes your voice all funny. Imagine one of those things crashing, and the pilot sounds like an alvin and the chipmunk when he makes the distress call. Nobody would take him seriously and hundreds of people would die as a result.

Helium leaks. Hot helium leaks faster. We could do it, but we would spend a lot replacing helium all the time. And for what? Blimps suck. They are easily blown off course and they're slow.
